These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Campus Connect waitlist website located at this domain (the "Site") — including joining the waitlist, using the referral feature, and browsing the Site generally. They do not govern the Campus Connect mobile app, which has not launched yet. When the app launches, it will come with its own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines specific to using the app, which will apply in addition to (or in place of) these Terms for anything app-related.
Campus Connect is a student-run project currently based in Toronto, Ontario, and is in the process of incorporating. Until incorporation is complete, "Campus Connect," "we," "us," and "our" in these Terms refer to the individuals operating the Site. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
The Site is intended for people old enough to consent to online data collection in their jurisdiction (generally 13 or older), and is aimed at college and university students. We don't currently verify age or school enrollment when you join the waitlist, but by submitting the form you're representing that you meet this minimum age requirement.

The Site may let you share a personal referral link or code and track when others join using it. Referral tracking is provided for fun and to gauge interest — any reward, priority access, or perk tied to referrals (if we offer one) is entirely at our discretion, isn't guaranteed, and can be changed or discontinued at any time without notice. Don't attempt to manipulate the referral system (e.g., fake signups, bots, or spam) — we may disregard referral credit obtained this way.
When using the Site, you agree not to:
The Site's name, logo, design, and content are owned by Campus Connect or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding, trademarks, or content except as necessary to use the Site as intended (e.g., sharing your referral link).
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the app will launch on any particular timeline or at all.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campus Connect and its operators won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site. Because the Site doesn't charge for anything, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Site is limited to CAD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold Campus Connect and its operators harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
Campus Connect is grant-funded by the Ted Rogers School of Management but is not otherwise affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Toronto Metropolitan University.
We may suspend or remove your waitlist entry, or shut down the Site or waitlist entirely, at any time and without notice, particularly in cases of misuse or violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Site or ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
We may update these Terms as the Site or our plans evolve. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
